MOSCOW, October 30 (Itar-Tass) — Three children have not been kidnapped as earlier reports said, but taken away from a shop in the Novosibirskaya street in the northeast of Moscow to prevent the kids from being involved in a conflict at the shop.
The whereabouts of the children, missing from the Novosibirskaya street, have not been established yet. Nonetheless, it has been ascertained that no kidnapping was meant, the press service of the Head Interior department said on Tuesday.
When a quarrel between the employers and the shop workers broke out the woman who owns the shop took both the three children in question and her own children away in a car to prevent the children from being involved in the conflict. Police are making efforts to contact the woman to establish the children's whereabouts, the press service said.
Earlier, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, questioned as a suspect in the presumed abduction, testified that he had brought the woman and the children to a bus terminal near Shchelkovskaya metro at the woman's request.
Police patrols have been sent to the bus terminal to check the suspect's testimony.
Earlier reports said that unknown criminals had kidnapped three children aged from two to five near a shop in the Novosibirskaya street and escaped in a Vaz-21099 car. Police found the car, but with no children inside. A citizen of Kyrgyzstan who was in the car was detained as a suspect.
