Kiev region slows down vote count at Ukraine parliamentary elections

Little more than 43% of protocols of the election committees have been processed in the Kiev Region

KIEV, October 30 (Itar-Tass) — The vote count at the Ukrainian parliamentary elections is slowed down by the Kiev Region. A little more than 43% of protocols of the election committees have been processed in the Kiev Region. In some ‘problematic’ constituencies the number of the ballot papers counted makes from 11% to 13%, the Ukrainian Central Election Commission (CEC) reported. Meanwhile, “the number of the processed protocols is getting closely to 100% in many Ukrainian regions.”

The chairman of the Ukrainian CEC forecasts that with such speed of work of the district election committees the full picture of the preliminary vote count will become clear on Wednesday or even on Thursday.
