Tver’s court to consider criminal case on bribe of 45 million roubles

Head of the Konakovo region and his deputy offered a purchaser of a land plot /which was to be returned to the municipal ownership/ “settling the case”

TVER, October 30 (Itar-Tass) — Tver’s regional court has started hearings of the criminal case under which Head of the Konakovo region Viktor Krysov and his deputy Vitaly Osipov are accused of an attempt to receive a bribe of 45 million roubles.

The investigation claims “for the bribe” they offered a purchaser of a land plot /which was to be returned to the municipal ownership/ “settling the case.” Another defendant, head of a local village Igor Kalachnikov, transported the money in his car. The man is on the international wanted list now.

During the investigation, neither Krysov, nor Osipov agreed with the accusation. The defendants insisted on a trial by jury.
