NOVO OGAREVO, October 29 (Itar-Tass) — President Vladimir Putin urged Russian private companies to invest in domestic research, rather than “scavenge on the side”.
“We must create such conditions that would allow not only state-owned companies but also private ones go to our institutions and bring money there rather than scavenge on the side,” Putin said at a meeting of the Council on Science and Education on Monday, October 29.
“They overpay and often get no results, and there are is no risk insurance for anyone,” he added.
“We should work out such a system together,” the president said.
