NOVO OGAREVO, October 29 (Itar-Tass) — President Vladimir Putin suggested introducing permanent and fixed-term contracts for scientist.
“Leading scientists and researchers who achieve serious success in their scientific work can be awarded permanent contracts, and all the others will be offered fixed-term contracts for work in strong research groups under a concrete project,” Putin said at a meeting of the Council on Science and Education on Monday, October 29.
Putin stressed that “organisations with a well established international reputation should be funded on a permanent basis, for example under their medium-term development programmes”.
