Bloggers help shape public opinion, solve people’s problems — Dmitry Medvedev

Over 200 people from different Russian regions take part in the so-called “Bloggers Non-Forum”

MOSCOW, October 29 (Itar-Tass) — Bloggers not only participate in shaping public opinion, but also help in solving problems of concrete people, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said in his address to participants in the so-called “Bloggers Non-Forum” in which over 200 people from different Russian regions take part.

Minister of Communications and mass media Nikolai Nikiforov read out the address to the forum. “It is quite often that our ‘posts’ forestall the printed media, news agencies and supplement news with concrete examples and emotional commentaries, shape public opinion and, which is particularly important, help solve problems of concrete people,” Medvedev said in his message.

The prime minister said that as an active user of Twitter, Facebook, Live Journal and other social networks he receives evidence of that himself. Bloggers from more than 50 regions exchange opinions on Monday and discuss ways to develop common media space, blogosphere and social networks.
