KIEV, October 28 (Itar-Tass) —— Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich voted at the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, at the polling station number 800488 in the Street of the Heroes of Stalingrad in the Kiev district Obolon on Sunday.

The parliamentary elections are being held in a calm atmosphere, presidential adviser Anna German told reporters in the press centre of the Party of Regions. She voiced hope that “Ukrainian voters will participate actively in the voting.” “The Ukrainian Central Elections Commission has done a large amount of work to prepare the elections. As far as we are concerned, all election committees are working. Some 3,797 international observers are accredited to monitor the elections, and we hope that the elections will be held fairly and in the organized way,” she underlined.
