The search for the missing dry cargo ship continues

MOSCOW, October 28 (Itar-Tass) — A dry cargo ship got missing in the Sea of Okhotsk in the Khabarovsk Territory, a source in the Ministry of Emergency Situations told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

“The dry cargo ship Amurskoye, which was carrying 11 crewmen, activated an emergency radio beacon at 08:15 Moscow time on Sunday off the Shantarskie Islands in the Khabarovsk Territory,” the source said.

However, the tanker Novik, which arrived at the site, where the emergency radio beacon went off, did not find the dry cargo ship.

The search for the missing dry cargo ship continues.

The winds in the area of the incident are 17 metres per second, the waves are more than two metres high.

The dry cargo ship Amurskoye is 55 metres long and has a water displacement of 800 tonnes.
