A problem was detected only hours before its scheduled liftoff

SEOUL, October 26 (Itar-Tass) — South Korea postponed the launch of its space rocket Friday after a problem was detected only hours before its scheduled liftoff, the Yonhap news agency reported.

The launch of the Naro-1 space rocket known as the Korea Space Launch Vehicle-1 (KSLV-1) was postponed at least for three days, Cho Yul-rae, vice minister of education, science and technology, said.

During a final inspection a leak was detected from a connection between the first stage rocket and the launch pad, he said.

The first-stage rocket of the Naro-1 was built by Russia.
