RF does best to open Syrian science/culture centre in Moscow

The agreement on the activity of the Russian and Syrian centres was signed in June, but till now the legal base has not been created

MOSCOW, October 25 (Itar-Tass) — Russia created all conditions for opening the Syrian science and culture centre in Moscow, head of the Federal Agency for the CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation Konstantin Kosachev told Itar-Tass.

“The agreement on the activity of the Russian and Syrian centres was signed in June. The Russian centre has operated in Syria since the Soviet times. Till now the legal base has not been created,” Kosachev said on Thursday.

“This is the question to Damascus as fast as it opens the centre in Moscow. The conditions, including legal and organisational ones, have been created,” the Russian official said.
