LONDON, October 23 (Itar-Tass) — The Nigerian authorities have placed under arrest fifteen Russian sailors accused of weapons smuggling. Law enforcers have found 8,500 cartridges and several sumbachine guns, Reuter reported Tuesday.

A representative of the Nigerian Navy said that the ship detained last weekend had been sailing under Dutch colors and belonged to the Moran Group of Moscow company.
