MOSCOW, October 22 (Itar-Tass) — State Duma Member Ilya Ponomaryov says his assistant Leonid Razvozzhayev has been arrested for two months within the framework of criminal proceedings instituted in connection with facts set out in the film "Anatomy of Protest-2".
On Sunday "a court ruling (to this effect) was issued at a session which was held in a close-door mode; even Razvozzhayev's defence lawyers were not admitted" to the court session, Ponomaryov told Itar-Tass. In so doing, he expressed indignation over the fact that he was not notified about the assistant's detention. Ponomaryov said investigation bodies ought to notify him. In this connection, he intends to lodge a deputy's inquiry on Monday, October 22.
There has been no official confirmation from investigating bodies about Razvozzhayev's arrest.
Earlier, Ponomaryov repeatedly stated that he did not believe in the authenticity of the video recording shown in the film "Anatomy of Protest-2" where, according to the avenue of inquiry being pursued by investigators, Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov, his assistant Konstantin Levedev, and Ponomaryov's assistant Leonid Razvozzhayev discuss preparations for a mass unrest .
