Nikolai Denin sworn in as Governor of Russia’s Bryansk region

BRYANSK, October 21 (Itar-Tass) — Nikolai Denin was on Sunday sworn in as Governor of Russia’s Bryansk region after winning a third term in office in the October 14 election.

Russian president’s envoy to the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov, officials from other Russian regions, Bishop of Bryansk and Sevsk Alexander and guests of honor – Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut Alexei Leonov and Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut Viktor Afanasyev, took part in the ceremony to inaugurate Denin as region’s Governor.

Beglov congraRussian president’s envoy to the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov, officials from other Russian regionstulated the governor on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. “You have big experience of work in the position of chief executive officer of the region, and you have made a major contribution to the development of the region over the recent years,” the message said.

“I expect that your energy, competence, professionalism and a bid to competently solve topical social and economic tasks of the region will help you to continue working efficiently,” the president said in the message.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia also sent their congratulations.
