MOSCOW, October 21 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev greeted workers and veterans of the road construction industry on their professional holiday on Sunday, the governmental press service reported.
The greeting reads:

On it depend the smooth communication between Russia’s region, reliable delivery of passengers and cargo, and development of international cooperation. Generally speaking – higher competitiveness of the Russian economy, improvement of its defence and security.
Presently, the industry faces tasks to construct new speed highways for secure and comfortable transportation. Special attention should be made to use of innovation materials and technologies, to use of intellectual transport systems, of modern road construction equipment.”
