NALCHIK, October 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The regime of a counterterrorist operation is imposed in a mountainous and forest area in the Elbrus district at 12:30 Moscow time on Saturday, following the decision of head of the Kabardino-Balkarian operational headquarters and chief of the republic’s department of the Russian Federal Security Service Sergei Kmenny.
A headquarters source said the regime was imposed in the area between the left bank of the Baksan River from the Alamat restaurant to the bridge across the Kyzylkez River and the Kyrtyk, Airytash and Bodurku mountains and the Kyzylkez River.
Special measures are taken and temporary restrictions are imposed in the zone. There are no residential sites in the territory. A search operation is underway there, the source said.
