Khasmagomed Tutayev, who works at the communication department of the administration of the republic's head, confessed that he had killed the policeman. He said he had a domestic motive for the murder.

Twenty-eight-year-old traffic policeman Zalimkhan Yevloyev was killed in Magas on October 18 when he was on the way to his work place. He was shot at close range.
