MOSCOW, October 19 (Itar-Tass) — Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich will pay a working visit to Russia on October 22, the Russian presidential press service reported on Friday.

“At forthcoming negotiations Vladimir Putin and Viktor Yanukovich are planning to consider the condition and prospects for bilateral cooperation in such vital spheres, as energy, trade and economic relations, transport and space. The presidents are also planning to discuss humanitarian projects and topical issues on regional and international agenda,” the press service reported.

Upon the results of the negotiations the countries are planning to sign several bilateral documents.

On Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold negotiations in Kiev over the preparations to the visit.

The Russian foreign minister will also discuss with his Ukrainian counterpart Konstantin Grishchenko “Russian-Ukrainian cooperation on topical international problems, particularly the progress of the settlement in the Transdniestria,” spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said.

“High on the agenda of the negotiations will be the issues to expand the contractual and legal basis for the deployment of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine,” the Russian diplomat noted. “The foreign ministers will discuss the implementation of major humanitarian projects, which seek to broaden cooperation between the two countries in culture, education, science and other spheres,” Lukashevich underlined.
