Fire at Izmailovo Vernissage fair put out, noone hurt

The fire originated in a three-storey wooden building and covered an area of 300 square metres

MOSCOW, October 17 (Itar-Tass) — A fire that broke out at the Vernissage in Izmailovo fair early Wednesday has been put out, an official at the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (RME) has told Itar-Tass.

According to verified information, there was no loss of life and noone was hurt. The cause of the fire is being clarified, the RME official pointed out.

The fire originated in a three-storey wooden building and covered an area of 300 square metres. Later on the blaze spread over to several other three-storeyed wooden buildings on an aggregate area of 1,000 sq.m. The fire was extinguished at three a.m.. There were no people inside the buidings, the RME official specified.
