NOVO-OGARYOVO, near Moscow, October 15 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday thanked voters for supporting functional government institutions at elections on Sunday.
“The results of elections are not unexpected to me. I think that this is another step confirming that voters intend to support functional power institutions and develop Russian statehood,” Putin said at a meeting with Vladimir Churov, the head of the Russian Central Electoral Commission.
“I am grateful to the voters for that,” Putin emphasized.
