MOSCOW, October 15 (Itar-Tass) —— The investigators will insist on arrest of Alexei Rusakov blamed for the car crash in which actress Marina Golub and a driver died, a Moscow police source told Itar-Tass.

The suspected culprit may be placed under arrest this Monday, when 48 hours after the moment of his detention expire, and the investigators intend to ask the court to take him into custody, the source said.

According to police, Rusakov must not be released as he may leave and escape from justice. While he is held under arrest, experts will study video-recordings of the accident and complete the auto technical examinations, the source added.

On Sunday, an investigator of the Moscow police investigative department brought charges against Rusakov. He is charged with violation of the traffic regulations that caused deaths and leaving people in danger. The corresponding Criminal Code articles prescribe up to seven years' imprisonment and one year, respectively.

Moscow police detained Rusakov as a result of the investigators' cunning operation. The man himself left the place outside Moscow where he hid and went to the site where he was detained, Moscow police reported earlier.

The accident occurred at the crossing of Vernadsky Avenue and Lobachevsky Street in Moscow on October 10 after the midnight. The Cadillac driven to the red light at a high speed rammed into the Hyundai, in which actress Golub was. After the crash, the cars were struck by a Kia and a Lada. Golub and the driver in the Hyundai died. The Cadillac driver escaped from the site.

On the night to Saturday, October 13, Rusakov placed his video address in the Internet, in which he confessed that it was him who was at the wheel of the Cadillac. He explained that he escaped from the accident site because he was in a shock state.
