BARNAUL, October 15 (Itar-Tass) —— Twelve heads of rural settlements were elected in the Republic of Altai on the voting day.
Seven of them are candidates of the United Russia party, two from the CPRF and the rest were self-nominated.
The participation rate was high in the republic – from 85 percent in the village of Kyrlyk to 40 percent in the district centre of Ust-Kan. Candidates to head the administrations of villages were nominated by United Russia, the CPRF, the LDPR and the Just Russia Party.
