Incumbent Amur region governor leading gubernatorial elections

MOSCOW, October 14 (Itar-Tass) —— The incumbent governor of Russia’s Far Eastern Amur region, Oleg Kozhemyako, is leading regional gubernatorial elections with 77.09 percent of the vote after processing of more than 75 percent of protocols from local polling stations, Russia’s Central Elections Commission told reporters on Sunday.

Kozhemyako was nominated by United Russia.

A candidate from the Communist Party (CPRF) Roman Kobyzov comes second, with 10.38 percent of the vote, and Ivan Abramov nominated by the Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) is third, with 8.14 percent of votes. A Just Russia’s candidate Dmitry Zharovsky is gaining 2.53 percent.
