Some 26 percent voters participate in Amur region’s elections

KHABAROVSK, October 14 (Itar-Tass) — In Russia’s Amur region, which elects a governor, by 15 o’clock local time 169,515 voters, about 26 percent, have participated in the election, Deputy Head of the regional elections commission Viktoria Viskulova said.

“At the elections to the State Duma by 15 o’clock over 39 percent voted, at the presidential election – over 45 percent,” she said. “Today, the bad weather is also affecting us.”

Four candidates run for the governorship in the Amur region: the present governor, Oleg Kozhemyako /United Russia/, Ivan Abramov /LDPR/, Dmitry Zharovsky /A Just Russia/ and Roman Kobyzov /CPRF/.

Simultaneously with the governor, the region elects several mayors, deputies of municipal, regional and village councils.
