MOSCOW, October 13 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Emergencies Ministry has sent a plane to the Ural region to search for the An-2 that disappeared four months ago, the ministry's information department told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

An An-3 plane took off from Ramenskoye airport, the Moscow Region, at 13:13 Moscow time to participate in the search for the missing An-2, a ministry source said.

A Mi-8 helicopter of the Emergencies Ministry’s Ural regional centre will be also sent there.

On June 11, in the Sverdlovsk Region, the An-2 piloted by captain Khatip Kashapov without permission took off from the airfield, and since then it has not been found. Together with the pilot, supposedly 12 passengers were aboard. The plane belongs to the Chelyabinsk airline Avia Zov.

A criminal case is opened over the plane disappearance.
