KIEV, October 13 (Itar-Tass) —— Famous Russian actor Leonid Bronevoi departed by train on Friday evening from the Ukrainian capital to Moscow, where he will continue his treatment. Bronevoi was brought from the hospital to the railway station in a specially equipped vehicle with the medics, a source in the Kiev City Heart Centre, where the Russian actor underwent a heart surgery, told Itar-Tass.
The train with the prominent actor is to arrive in Moscow early on Saturday morning.
The doctors from the Kiev cardiologic centre have earlier considered Bronevoi’s delivery to the Russian capital by an air flight, but the transportation by train was found safer. “We have been consulting for a long time and decided that the air flight is an additional factor of risk. A train trip of 9-10 hours is less traumatic for Bronevoi,” Director of the Kiev City Heart Centre Boris Todurov told reporters.
In Moscow Bronevoi will continue his treatment at the Russian cardiologic research-and-production centre of the Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development.
People’s Artist of the Soviet Union Leonid Bronevoi underwent a heart surgery on September 18. He was diagnosed with proliferating myocardial infarction. Bronevoi, who was born in Kiev, went on guest performances of the Moscow theatre Lenkom in the Ukrainian capital.
