The mayor, Saigidpasha Umakhanov, and the persons accompanying him were not harmed, the regional department of the Investigative Committee told Itar-Tass.

The explosion occurred at 12:30, Moscow time. Umakhanov's Toyota was damaged. A group of investigators is working at the scene. Police are questioning eye-witnesses.
