YEKATERINBURG, October 12 (Itar-Tass) — A criminal case has been opened over 7-million-fraud against an army officer in the Central Military District, representative of the military prosecutor's office Alexei Okatyev told Itar-Tass on Friday.
A prosecutor's check ascertained that Captain Igor Chebotaryov, head of the food and cloths service of a military unit of the Irkutsk garrison, forged a document confirming handover of clothes to soldiers. In actual fact, the property had been taken out of a storage room and passed to a commercial organization for sale. The total cost of the stolen things reached over seven million roubles.
Criminal proceedings were opened over grand fraud.
