MOSCOW, October 11 (Itar-Tass) —— Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin will be prepared to contest the seat again in case an early election is announced.
“The mayoral election is due in 2015. All other options are to be agreed with the president,” Sobyanin said, when asked at a news conference if he would be prepared to take part in an early election, should it be called.
“If there is a public need for an early election, I shall agree with pleasure,” Sobyanin said.
As for his likely participation in the 2015 election, Sobyanin said all would depend on Moscow people’s support.
“If I feel the people’s backing, I shall agree to run,” Sobyanin said.
