ANKARA, October 11 (Itar-Tass) — The Syrian jet with Russian citizens aboard has left for Damascus from Ankara, press attach· of the Russian Embassy in Ankara Igor Mityakov said.
All Russian citizens are aboard the jet, Mityakov told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
The Syrian jet (Airbus A-320) was landed in Ankara by Turkish fighters at 5.30 GMT on Wednesday, October 10. The local authorities say banned cargoes are aboard the jet. A total of 37 people, including 17 Russian citizens with children, are aboard the jet. The jet arrived in Turkey at about 9 p.m.
