MOSCOW, October 10 (Itar-Tass) —— Sarah Brightman will travel to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2015, Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) said.

“Medics have confirmed that Sarah Brightman is fit for the mission. She will most likely travel to the ISS in October or November 2015,” Alexei Krasnov, who is in charge of Roscosmos’ pilot missions, said on Wednesday, October 10.

He refused to say how much the flight would cost for the singer. “Clearly, these are very large sums: tens of millions of U.S. dollars,” he said.

When asked why Sarah Brightman has been chosen, Eric Anderson, Chairman of Space Adventures’ Board of Directors, said she was fit medically and physically and it was her dream.

He hopes that Sarah will reflect this experience in her work and it will be “fantastic”.

In July 2012, Sarah Brightman arrived in Star City outside Moscow to undergo medical and physical examination and got the commission’s go-ahead. She will stay aboard for ISS for 10 days.
