MOSCOW, October 10 (Itar-Tass) — Popular actress Marina Golub has been killed in a traffic accident in Moscow, law enforcers told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
The accident occurred shortly after last midnight at the crossroads of Vernadsky Prospect and Lobachevsky street. A Cadillac rushed forward ignoring banning street lights and rammed a Hyundai car in which the actress was. Two more cars- a Kia and a Lada, rammed the Hyundai already smashed in the accident.
The Cadillac hit the car where the actress was with a very powerful force. Both the actress and driver killed in the accident had to be removed from the broken car by rescuers of the Ministry for Emergency Situations.
The Cadillac driver responsible for the tragedy escaped from the scene, the press service of Moscow police told Itar-Tass.
Marina Golub was a merited actress of the Russian Federation, a popular cinema and theater actress and a prominent figure on television.
