Putin calls to create open information database on land plots

The problem will be partially solved by the roadmap in the sphere of construction, Putin noted and added that further proposals on the issue would be welcome

MOSCOW, October 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested that an open information resource on land plots should be created.

Speaking at a meeting of the presidium of the State Council on Tuesday, the president noted that this kind of information is not available to people. In his words, “heads of some agencies, government officials and go-between structures glued to them have actually monopolized this information.”

“Closeness and non-transparency give birth to corruption,” the president stressed. “We must do away with this state of things and grant each citizen an opportunity to learn whatever they want about free land plots or plots that are in use.” There should be no secret about this, he stressed.

The problem will be partially solved by the roadmap in the sphere of construction, Putin noted and added that further proposals on the issue would be welcome.
