MOSCOW, October 8 (Itar-Tass) —— The Yabloko party candidate, Andrey Ponomarev, declined to be nominated for the post of Governor of Russia's western Bryansk region and withdrew from the gubernatorial race, Yabloko party leader Sergey Mitrokhin told Itar-Tass.
“They say he has withdrawn”, he said adding that Ponomarev’s phone was out of contact.
Itar-Tass, too, was unsuccessful in the attempts to speak to the ex-candidate.
