VLADIVOSTOK, October 8 (Itar-Tass) — Russia seeks to borrow the U.S. experience of volunteer fire fighting services, Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said on Monday after a meeting of the emergency situations working group under the Russian-US Bilateral Presidential Commission.
“We are interested in experience of our U.S. partners, as they have different approaches in different states,” he said.
At present, there are over 600,000 volunteer fire fighters in Russia and their number will increase.
