MOSCOW, October 8 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov will make an official visit to Germany on Monday, his press secretary Irina Kovalchuk said.
“The Russian defense minister will hold talks with German Defense Minister Thomas de Maiziere,” Kovalchuk said.
At the meeting, the two ministers are to discuss the current state of and prospects for development of military and military-technical cooperation between the countries.
“During the talks, the sides also intend to touch upon issues of regional and international security, including ABM problems in Europe, the situation in Afghanistan, the Middle East and North Africa,” Kovalchuk said.
