MOSCOW, October 7 (Itar-Tass) —— The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) sets stringent requirements for Russia to prepare the infrastructure for the 2018 World Cup Championship and ensure easer traveling for foreign fans, deputy director-general of the Russia 2018 organizing committee Alexander Dzhordzhadze told the State Duma meeting during the parliamentary hearings on Saturday.

Each of the stadiums where world championship matches will take place must have a capacity to hold at least 45,000 people. But such a capacity is not needed to use the stadiums afterwards, he noted.

For example, the stadium in Samara is designed to have seats for 30,000 spectators after the world championship.

Stringent requirements are also set for capacity of airports, hotels, railway and air transport to carry football fans from one city to another.

The six years will pass fast, so authorities in Russian regions already at present begin to design and build stadiums and hotels, he noted.

For foreign fans to enter Russia, most likely, the conception of visa-free visiting will be taken. Fans with championship tickets will travel between Russian cities freely.

"We hope two million tourists will visit Russia during the 2018 World Cup Championship," Dzhordzhadze said.
