ANKARA, October 5 (Itar-Tass) – Turkey’s artillery delivered a new strike at the Syrian territory Friday night in retaliation for a fall of a stray mortar shell on a farm in the southern Hatay province, the semi-official Anatolia News Agency said.
Turkish artillery opened fire at the positions of Syrian troops Wednesday and Thursday after the death of five civilians, who were killed by a stray shell that had hit a residential house.
