MOSCOW, October 3 (Itar-Tass) — Space garbage will approach the International Space Station in about 27 hours, the press service of the Mission Control Centre outside Moscow has told Tass.

“We assess the level of danger as low, but we don’t rule out that the space station will have to make a maneuver to avoid debris,” its sources stressed. So far there has been no decision on orbit correction, as the accuracy of data changes constantly, they added.

In case of a need to correct the orbit, the engine of the Zvezda service module will be used, the sources added.
