BANGKOK, October 3 (Itar-Tass) — A plane of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations will evacuate from Thailand a Russian woman who fell ill with Dengue fever, sources from the Russian Embassy to Thailand told Tass on Wednesday.

The female tourist fell ill while on a holiday on Samui Island. The woman was hospitalized to a local clinic, but then she was transferred to a specialized hospital in Bangkok at the request of her relatives and with the assistance of the Embassy and the insurance company. Her husband is with her in Bangkok, diplomats said.

An Il-62 aircraft will evacuate the female tourist home for further medical treatment within the next few days, the sources said. The plane is expected to land in Bangkok overnight to Thursday. It carries six medics from EMERCOM’s aeromobile group Tsentrospas and specialists from the Zashchita All-Russia Centre for Disaster Medicine, as well as a staffer of EMERCOM’s centre for emergency psychological aid. The woman is in a grave condition.

Dengue fever is registered mainly in countries of South and Southeast Asia, in Africa, Oceania and in countries of the Caribbean.
