Chaika re-elected to chair CIS prosecutors’ council

Russia’s Prosecutor-General Yuri Chaika has been re-elected to chair the coordinating council of the CIS general prosecutors

KIEV, October 2 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s Prosecutor-General Yuri Chaika has been re-elected to chair the coordinating council of the CIS general prosecutors. The decision was approved unanimously at the council’s meeting on Tuesday, Ukraine’s Prosecutor-General Viktor Pshonka told a news briefing.

He said the prosecutors discussed the struggle against crime, terrorism, corruption and drug trafficking, as well as illegal migration.

The council's next meeting is due in Kyrgyzstan in September 2013.
