ISLAMABAD, October 2 (Itar-Tass) —— Chief of Staff of Pakistan’s Land Forces General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani is leaving for a three-day working visit to Russia on Wednesday. As the country’s army press service reported on Tuesday, during the trip, the Chief of Staff of Land Forces, who is the top person in the Pakistani army hierarchy, will discuss with representatives of the Russian armed forces and political circles the ways of building up bilateral interaction in the defense sphere.
The trip of General Kayani will be the first in the history visit of the Chief of Staff of Land Forces of this country to Russia.
At first, he was to visit Russia in the first half of September, however, due to a number of reasons his trip was postponed for some time.
