YOSHKAR-OLA, September 30 (Itar-Tass) — Six persons, including two children, were hurt in a road accident in Russia’s republic of Maiy El, a spokesman for the republican emergencies administration told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

According to the spokesman, the accident took place at about 09:00 a.m. Moscow time on Sunday near the settlement of Kokshaisk, some 100 kilometers away from the republic’s capital city of Yoshkar-Ola. According to preliminary data, a minibus heading for a waterpark in Kazan rammed a truck that veered across the road. Later, the minibus was hit by two more minibuses and six motor cars running in the same direction. In all, the accident involved 11 vehicles.

The injured were taken to hospital. An investigation is underway.
