Five adults, four children hurt in drunk driving road accident in N Novgorod region

An alcohol test of the KIA driver, who received his driving license only in January 2012, revealed he was drunk while driving. His blood alcohol content was 2.0%

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, September 30 (Itar-Tass) — Nine persons, including four children, were hurt in a road accident in the Nizhny Novgorod region in the small hours on Sunday.

According to a spokesman for the local traffic police department, the accident took place at about 04:00 a.m. Moscow time at the 67th kilometer of a highway linking the cities of Nizhny Novgorod and Sratov. A KIA Cerato ran into a Mercedes minibus running in the same direction. The minibus then ran off the road.

An investigation is underway.
