MOSCOW, September 27 (Itar-Tass) — The fire at a depot of varnishes and paints in the Solnechnogorsk District of Moscow Region is gaining in scope.
A source at the Russian Ministry for Emergencies has told Itar-Tass that the fire that broke out at the depot in Yesipovo (Yesipovo) Village has covered 2,100 square meters. The fire spread over to the nearby building of another depot.
Fire-fighting teams are grappling with the fire. Three fire-fighting helicopters have taken off to help put out the fire.
There has been no word about anyone hurt.
