Dvorkovich confirms government in no mood to impose grain export embargo

According to the Agriculture Ministry’s forecasts, this year grain harvest will exceed 70 million tonnes

MOSCOW, September 26 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich has confirmed that the government has no intention of imposing an embargo on the export of grain.

“There will be no embargos,” he said after a meeting of the food security commission. “Interventions will be enough to restrict price rises.”

According to the Agriculture Ministry’s forecasts, this year grain harvest will exceed 70 million tonnes.
