MOSCOW, September 26 (Itar-Tass) — The airspace throughput capacity in the Moscow zone should increase 1.5 times in 2013, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov told a State Duma session on Wednesday.
He emphasized that Russia’s Transport Ministry would optimize the Moscow zone.
In 2011 the air traffic reached its record high in Russia’s history – 64 million passengers.
“Thus, the pre-crisis level of 2008 was exceeded by 25 percent. This year the air traffic grew by 15 percent as against 2011,” Sokolov said.
