MOSCOW, September 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The salary in the cultural sphere will grow 30-33% in 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council of Culture and Arts on Tuesday.
“Despite the problems with the budget we decided to increase the funding of culture by four billion roubles starting from next year through higher salaries. This will make it possible to take a quite tangible step in this industry,” he said.
“The average growth of salaries will reach 30-33%. If the chief executives work with responsibility for optimization and restructuring as in other spheres, the salaries may grow even higher,” Putin went on to say. “I urge you to do everything this way,” the president addressed to the members of the council.
