KIEV,September 25 (Itar-Tass) — People’s artist of the Soviet Union and a prominent actor of Moscow LENKOM theater Leonid Bronevoy, has been convalescing sooner than expected, Boris Todurov, head of the Kiev City Heart Center said on Tuesday. “Bronevoi was disconnected from an artificial lung ventilation apparatus, and he can already eat and talk. But the patient will stay on hospital bed for one more week; a permission to leave the cardio centre will be given to the patient only after he is able to walk unassisted,” doctor Todurov said.
Leonid Bronevoi underwent heart surgery on September 17 after he was diagnosed with proliferating myocardial infarction. Bronevoi, born in Kiev, had been staying in Kiev with the LENCOM company while it performed in Kiev on September 8-17.
