FEFU to engage in preparation for Kazan Universiade

Director of the FEFU Sports Training Centre Vadim Sulimov said that the university is going to take an active part in the formation of the Russian national team

VLADIVOSTOK, September 25 (Itar-Tass) — The Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) and the 2013 Universiade Directorate have signed a cooperation agreement. The press centre of the Primorsky Territory administration told Itar-Tass on Tuesday that agreement provides for holding of various international student competitions at the FEFU campus on the Russky Island of, Vladivostok students’ participation in the volunteer activities at the 2013 Universiade in Kazan.

Director of the FEFU Sports Training Centre Vadim Sulimov said that the university is going to take an active part in the formation of the Russian national team. He stressed that among the university students there are already 16 candidates for the participation in the prestigious sports forum.

“It’s no secret that with the construction of sports facilities on the Russky Island we get an excellent opportunity to host international student competitions. World Championships among students in various kinds of sports are annually held under the auspices of the FISU. Now we have also joined,” Vadim Sulimov said.
