NAPLES, September 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The President of the World Association of the Russian Press (WARP) and chairman of the Itar-Tass board, Vitaly Ignatenko, has been awarded the international Mikhail Lermontov prize that was established by Naples-based public organizations for contribution to the promotion of international cultural and media exchanges.
The prize-awarding ceremony was held late on Monday at Naples’ San Carlo theatre. It was attended by Italy’s people of culture and delegates of the 14th World Congress of the Russian press, which being held here under the auspices of Itar-Tass.
The prize will be awarded annually to acclaimed Russian and Italian public figures, Carmine Zaccaria, a co-founder of the prize, told Itar-Tass.
